Photo Editing
Photo editing is a very specialized process. In order for the final
image to look natural, the edit must be
done on a very detailed level. After the image changes are made,
the edited area must be carefully blended.

The photo set shown here was a case where the Bride was inadvertently left out of the
Groom's family photo. Adding the Bride to the family photo took 7 distinct steps
before the final blending.

In each separation crop the photo is cut out and unused areas are converted to a color that can be
isolated so that the color choosing tool can separate the target images from the background image.
Then the selected image can be pasted into the next step. Since images are pasted over each
other, the edited image must be built up in layers.

Picture 1 Is the
original source
photo for the bride.

Picture 2 is the
family photo
missing the bride.

Picture 3 illustrates
the initial color
correction that was
required before editing
could continue.

Picture 4 this section
must be added in front
of the bride and groom
before they can be
blended into the photo.
So the groom and
back wall must be
removed.

Picture 9 is the finished photo after final retouching.
